As Director - Long-term Planning, your main mission will be to develop and update medium and long-term supply plans, aimed at guaranteeing the availability of products within a network made up of 11 factories (frozen and canned vegetables).
This position involves coordinating demand forecasts with production capacities, inventory management strategies and supply plans to support business growth, optimize resource utilization and minimize costs and risks.
THE ROLE:
- Develop 3-24 month supply plans for frozen and canned product lines, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and business objectives;
- Ensure balance between capacities, inventories and service level objectives in 11 production sites;
- Contribute to supply planning as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process;
- Identify capacity constraints, supply gaps or business opportunities;
- Propose mitigation strategies such as overtime, capital investments, work schedule adjustments, network rebalancing, etc.
- Model and evaluate scenarios related to variations in demand, new product launches, seasonality and network changes;
- Optimize network-wide inventory positioning, including safety stock strategies and shelf-life considerations for frozen and canned products;
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, inventory turnover, capacity utilization and meeting forecasts;
- Support long-term network planning, including capital investments, production line expansions and co-manufacturing strategies;
- Manage the maintenance and use of the Llamasoft network simulation/optimization modeling tool;
- Collaborate with teams responsible for plant operations, purchasing, demand planning and logistics to ensure achievable and optimized plans;
- Develop, maintain and improve planning processes and analytical tools to improve network-wide visibility, decision-making and execution.
PROFILE:
- More than 10 years of experience in supply planning, production planning or supply chain analysis;
- Experience in the agri-food or consumer goods sectors;
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Procurement, Operations, Commerce (master's degree, an asset);
- Experience working within multi-site production networks;
- Knowledge of production environments for frozen and/or long-life (canned) products highly appreciated;
- Advanced mastery of Excel and ACCESS;
- Experience with S&OP / integrated business planning processes;
- Experience with Llamasoft or similar supply chain optimization solutions, an asset;
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into concrete plans;
- Ability to manage complexity across multiple sites/product categories/time horizons;
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills;
- Attention to detail and strategic mind;
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
