Your daily role
You'll invest the majority of your time in three key areas:
- Responsible for the well-being of facility associates, and the management of company programs that support this initiative.
- Coordinates facility recruitment, employee training, health/retirement benefit programs, workforce development, associate safety programs, compensation, wellness, and others.
- Serves as a resource to members of facility management to assist in the development of departmental supervisors and hourly staff members.
Specifically, you will:
- Coordinates and manages all aspects of benefit programs at the facility level.
- Coordinates and communicates case management strategies, and provides recommendations to corporate services for disability and workers compensation case management.
- Directly responsible for the administration of the facility recruitment/training process to include all EEOC and OSHA regulations, background checks and drug testing programs.
- Administers, manages, and/or authors all company, facility, and government policy(s) that address associate behavior, compensation, performance, development and human rights.
- Promote and foster programs that facilitate improvement processes, and associate well-being.
- Provide support and counsel to facility supervision for associate interventions (associate disputes, performance and discipline, coaching, etc.)
- Assists the management team in preparing capital proposals for facility improvement, and projects mandated for regulatory compliance.
- Prepares material(s) and provides facility representation at associate Unemployment, Division of Human Rights, and NYS Disability and Workers Compensation Hearing(s). Assists company counsel on these matters as Requested.
Your profile
- A minimum of three years experience in human resources management, Food industry experience is desirable but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or another related field
- Will be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent writing and public speaking skills.
