Your daily role
- To safely and efficiently be a support operator on the packaging line
- Troubleshoot to minimize downtime
- Be a liaison between supervisors and maintenance to express downtime concerns and efficiency opportunities.
- Ensure plant is kept up to a 6S standard
- Help out other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
Your profile
- Have an acceptable attendance record
- Must be physically fit, able to climb stairs, work at heights and in freezer conditions.
- Ability to coach and lead work teams to achieve safety, performance, quality, cost and service goals
- Proven ability to define performance measures related to the business such as efficiencies
- Be proactive and possess good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility while being able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ensure that work is completed on schedule and in the time allotted
- Strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills
- Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback
- Ability to work shift work and weekends
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Comply with health and safety standards and requirements
- Ensures proper use of PPEs and hazard controls in place
