Under the direction of the Regional Logistics Manager, this role liaises with our internal and external customers, optimizing customer satisfaction, distribution processes, inventory levels and warehousing utilization with a strategic vision.
THE ROLE:
- Manage a distribution team of approximately 30 warehouse/distribution center employees and ensure adequate planning according to fluctuating needs;
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments to meet internal/external customer expectations by implementing and monitoring the company's key performance indicators;
- Develop a team of supervisors and management to achieve Health/Safety, Quality and customer service objectives;
- Foster a culture of safety, food safety, waste reduction program and lean culture;
- Carry out regular visits/audits of the warehouse to ensure its safety, maintenance and rigor;
- Operational and financial management of 3PL partners responsible for off-site activities;
- Lead strategic projects to improve warehousing capacity, distribution and efficiency in accordance with industry best practices;
- Manage and plan budgets effectively and find innovative ways to reduce costs;
- Supervise an inventory team aimed at inventory accuracy, compliance with FIFO and reduction of losses.
- Identify and monitor corrective measures for equipment and building maintenance;
PROFILE:
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply management, logistics management or industrial engineering or equivalent experience
- 7 years or more in a warehousing or logistics management role
- Strong people management and talent development skills
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills to interact with a diverse workforce and communicator with proven leadership abilities in the face of change
- English/French Oral and Written Bilingualism
