Your daily role

Reporting to the Plant Director, the incumbent will work in a collaborative context with his team as well as all of his partners and internal clients. The Director of Maintenance will promote the dissemination and commitment to the values ​​and priorities of the organization among managers and all staff.

  • Lead the preventive and corrective maintenance of production, packaging, shipping & receiving and quality control equipment to optimize results and ensure optimal and flawless efficiency ;
  • Develop, maintain and improve practices using key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Lead, supervise and motivate maintenance staff by establishing a knowledge transfer, mentoring and training plan;
  • Direct water treatment activities and assigned personnel;
  • Coordinate maintenance work on factory site buildings and site offices;
  • Lead capital projects in collaboration with corporate engineering;
  • Act as responsible for the health and safety of employees under his direction as well as corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) and promote its application;
  • Ensure a good social climate, mobilize your team and generate motivation and commitment among your employees;
  • Maintain and control departmental expenses, including subcontracting costs;

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or other related field;
  • Minimum of five years of experience in maintenance management;
  • Experience in a unionized work environment, desirable;
  • Knowledge of the standards in force in the food sector;
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods such as Lean, 5S, Kanban, kaizen and SMED.
