MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Nortera Lethbridge is a manufacturing facility that processes and packages frozen vegetables. We harvest peas and corn locally as well as package different frozen vegetables grown in different regions. We are looking for skilled electricians to join our team.

Your daily role

• Ensure operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on processing and packaging equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Install, alter, repair, and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment for safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation.
• Lay out circuits, set up breaker and panel boxes, and install fixtures and lights as well as other electrical equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Adhere to all plant safety rules and procedures at all times.
• All other duties as assigned

Your profile

• Journeyman Certificate in the Electrical trade.
• Possess strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach.
• Possess their own tools in order to perform maintenance and/or repairs.
• Understand regulations regarding safety, quality, sanitary design, and GMPs in a food plant.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
