MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform installations and overall maintenance of plant machinery, including changing layouts and set up as directed by maintenance, packaging and/or production leadership
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of conveying equipment such as pumps, shakers, etc.
- Start up and ongoing observations of machines to detect malfunctions and troubleshooting any required adjustments and repairs, while adhering to all plant safety rules and regulations
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and perform all work in a safe manner following all established policies and procedures
- Document all maintenance activities and logging them accordingly while following closely all company policies and procedures, SOPs, etc.
- Attend training sessions while utilizing and contributing other methods to acquire knowledge of seaming equipment or systems
- Other duties as may be assigned
POSITION PROFILE:
- 2-3 years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance or related field
- Post-secondary education in maintenance or related field
- Industrial Millwright Mechanic (433A) certification preferred
- Complete understanding of mechanical devices and exposure to electrical troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures for continuous cookers and controllers is an asset
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

- Must meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc.
- Open availability with willingness to work various shifts based on operational needs and seasonality of the business including the continental, night shift, on call, statutory holidays, overtime, and weekends
- Be technically trained/trainable in all aspects of our plant equipment and systems
- Understand productivity and efficiency indicators and their impact
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and perform all duties of work in a safe manner following all other established policies and procedures.
- Must have knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Hourly wage range for this role is $30.48-$43.38 following confirmation of the 433A ticket or equivalent.
*The seasonality and operational needs of the business may drive varying work schedule expectations for this position. During peak production periods of the year, the work schedule may be on a continental 12 hour rotating shift, every 2 weeks which may include statutory holidays, weekends, and evening hours.
