Job Expectations:

  • Safely operate a forklift to pile and take down bulk product up to six pallets high.
  • Safe loading and unloading of both dry and frozen freight.
  • Enters data using computer inventory management system.
  • Uses handhelds and truck mounted scanners to support pallet transfers from one location to another.
  • Performs daily forklift safety checks including battery changing procedures and using proper personal protective equipment.
  • Organizes materials and supplies for shift start and properly stacks/stores left over materials.
  • Communicates tote needs and tote issues to immediate supervisor and quality control.
  • Provide coverage for forklift drivers as well as move to various areas depending on production needs.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety procedures while operating a forklift, including Lock Out Tag Out and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Accurately and properly label products, and properly fill out paperwork daily.
  • Follow directions from the shift Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position will require you to meet the minimum dexterity expectations such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crouching, bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, stair climbing, ladder climbing, etc.

You must also be willing to work a continental schedule, which rotates every 2 weeks, consisting of 12 hour shifts from 5:30am-5:30pm and vise versa. 

You must also have demonstrated forklift driving experience to be considered and must successfully complete the certification process.
