Job Type: Full Time -Permanent

Pay: $27.23 per hour, increasing to $28.12/hour in May 2026

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8-hour shift
  • Overtime

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analysis of packaged product for conformance to customer and company specifications;
  • Analysis of packaged products and  incoming raw materials for microbiological compliance and quality parameters including defect levels and maturity;
  • Listeria testing of equipment and area as scheduled;
  • Complete pre-operational checks of the packaging and mix lines, including line swabs to verify adequate sanitation;
  • Measure and record process parameters and Critical Control Points;
  • Assess food safety and food quality risks associated with products, use of hold procedures;
  • Complete Monthly Food Safety and Program Audits throughout the facility as required;
  • Assist in data collection;
  • Sample collection and preparation;
  • Assist in employee education- monitor and advise GMP issues;
  • Contribute to HACCP program development and maintenance;
  • Be accountable for and work in compliance with established HACCP, Food Safety and GMP protocols;
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects in support of the QS program
  • Communication link between packaging, logistics and QA departments;
  • Must work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions to your supervisor;
  • Computer skills essential for maintenance of QA forms, Data collection, data analysis
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experience

  • 1 year of experience are desired.

 Education

    - Post Secondary education- with Food, Laboratory or Science background
