MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct sanitation activities on all production lines according to the schedule.
• Utilizing high-pressure water, low-pressure water, degreasing chemicals, sanitizing chemicals, and other necessary substances.
• Working collaboratively with all employees while on shift, with special collaboration with quality control technicians before, during, and after sanitation procedures; addressing any areas requiring additional cleaning as directed.
• Consistently follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and food safety training guidelines.
• After completing sanitation duties, transition back to regular production tasks such as: tote dumping, case piling, etc.
• Possess good eye-hand coordination for efficient task execution.
• Ability to follow directions in order to meet our expectations regarding health and safety and food safety.
• Follow instructions from the various levels of leadership including the Sanitation Team Lead.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English at a Level 3 requirement.
• Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment, wet, cold and soapy work areas.
• PPE and Respirator with clean shaven facial hair is a bonafide job requirement.
• Must be able to meet minimum dexterity requirements of this position: bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, etc.
• Flexible work schedule to work 12 hour continental shift, on rotation, and open to on-call shifts including over-time, holidays, weekends, etc. - on any team as scheduled.
• This position is a HEAVY lifting capability role (lift up to 32kgs, multiple times as needed in a shift.).
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to climb rolling & step ladders, climbing onto platforms, work on platforms up to 20ft in the air, etc.
• Must be able to do inspection of vegetable products as well as be near vibrations for long periods of time.
• Demonstrated ability to work diligently as a team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with tight time restrictions to meet deadlines.
