As a Demand Planner, you are responsible for forecasting product demand, collaborating with various departments including sales and marketing, analyzing data and continuously improving processes to effectively meet customer demands.

THE ROLE:

  • Demand forecast:

-Collaborate with sales teams, customers, marketing, finance and production to gather the data and intelligence necessary for an accurate demand forecast;

-Use forecasting tools and models to analyze historical data, market trends and customer behavior to anticipate future demand;

-Present customer forecasts as part of the SIOP process.

  • Sales analysis:

-Monitor and analyze business performance, identifying trends and patterns that influence demand;

-Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and market dynamics.

  • Collaboration:

-Foster strong cross-functional relationships with sales, marketing, commercial finance and supply planning teams, to ensure fluid communication and alignment of objectives;

-Liaise between departments to resolve issues and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Reporting and analysis:

-Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy and other key performance indicators (KPIs);

-Provide data-driven analysis and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.

PROFILE:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning;
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, mathematics, supply chain or a related field;
  • Bilingual French/English (communications across Canada and the United States);
  • Proven methodological skills (data analysis, trend forecasting, etc.);
  • Great rigor and attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in Excel and Access;
  • Proven knowledge of statistics and forecasting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Presentation skills: ability to synthesize and present concisely.
