Your daily role
Reporting to the Director of General Accounting and as a senior financial analyst, you will actively participate in the monthly closing process and carry out analyzes and conciliations for various balance sheets and results, in addition to working on continuous improvement projects related to finance and accounting.
You will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change, in addition to having good skills for teamwork, interpersonal qualities and leadership.
The role:
- Direct and take charge of monthly financial reports and compliance for his designated country;
- Act as a resource person for any questions relating to the accounting relating to their field of action;
- Participate in the monthly fence process, including:
-Prepare and record newspaper entries;
-conciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts;
-Calcul and accounting for various accounting provisions;
-Preparation of monthly consumption tax declarations;
-Calcul and accounting for current and delayed tax provisions, and attend the preparation of annual tax declarations;
-Preparation of statutory monthly financial statements
- Revise and analyze balance sheet accounts;
- Revise and analyze certain results accounts;
- Produce various accounting and/or management reports;
- Participate in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements annual audits, including the notes and appendix;
- If necessary, analyze new transactions and prepare memos justifying accounting treatment;
- Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting processes;
- Involving during the revision and budget forecast process;
- Participate and help the management of audit processes (external and internal, tax, consumption taxes, etc.).
Your profile
- Ideally 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Experience in the manufacturing environment or the food industry, an asset;
- Experience in preparation and fiscal compliance;
- Baccalaureate in business administration, accounting or finance;
- CPA accounting title (or equivalent);
- Relevant work experience in accounting, business and/or firm;
- Excellent control of IFRS accounting standards (GAAP an asset);
- Good knowledge of taxation and consumption taxes;
- Collaborative leadership and skill to develop solid labor relations with the members of his team as well as with the other departments;
- Learning capacity and working independently in an environment constantly evolving;
- Analytical and critical sense developed, ability to solve problems and plan projects;
- Bilingualism: French and English (collaborators in Canada and United States).
