Wastewater treatment technician

Under the authority of the production director, the position holder participates in the management of the various activities of the plant's wastewater department. He ensures rigorous monitoring of control systems, detailed analysis of wastewater and maintenance of environmental compliance of the site.

YOUR DAILY ROLE:

• Read flow meters, level, temperature and dissolved oxygen indicators.
• Collect water samples and perform necessary laboratory tests.
• Ensure the operation and minor preventive maintenance of wastewater treatment plant equipment.
• Measure, mix and transport chemicals to maintain mixture concentrations and make necessary orders.
• Prepare and complete operating reports, maintain logs and statistics.
• Strictly comply with company policies and regulations regarding occupational health and safety (OHS).

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Hold a valid qualification certificate from Emploi Québec;
• Proficiency in the Office suite (Excel, Outlook) or the Google environment;
• Ability to drive a tractor;
• Great autonomy, resourcefulness and sense of responsibility;
• Good sense of observation to detect mechanical or biological anomalies;
